HOW MANY TIMES
How many times can we be crushed and trodden down?
How many times trampled on, met with an ugly frown?
How many times tender hearts come back from a break?
How many times will Satan our determination shake?
Just when many things seem to be going just right
Satan puts up his evil fists and makes us have to fight,
But he will not win, we will endure to the very end,
For on our dear Lord we know we can always depend.
We know Jesus wept over that great city of Jerusalem,
O, wonder how often He wept over other places then?
The sorrow felt as He saw all the wickedness around,
So much hunger, cruelty and suffering because of men.
We will not let Satan win, we will all things overcome,
We will serve with all our might, say Thy will be done.
We will go forward rejoicing and singing Gods praise,
We will endure to the end in joy through all our days.
