        SPIRITUAL CANDLES
When a cloud of gloom hovers like a hawk,
Waiting to pounce down as you slowly walk
Over paths of darkness and treacherous sand,
It seems if evil is everywhere, fear does abound.

Groping in the mists of life, you are in a plight,
So then light hope’s candle, let it burn bright,
Light faith’s candle, place them side by side,
That’s when darkness scurries away to hide.

Gloom no longer lingers, fears flee far away,
For you are using some of God’s tools this day
Add to the faith and hope candles so very bright,
Humility and love, fill the world with heaven’s light.

There is no need to wander about in darkest gloom,
For in a believer’s heart for darkness there is no room,
For the light that comes from knowing Jesus is our King,
Our hearts should be rejoicing, ever wanting to sing.

Yet Satan tries to blow our bright candles right out,
Wants gloom and darkness and us in fear shout,
Turn around, face him, let God’s light shine through,
That way he cannot win, for your light is bright and true.
