GUIDE ME
As I tread this road of my life,
I need thee in trouble and strife
When dark clouds hide the sun,
Yes, I need thee when troubles come.
I need thy arm around me to care,
Feel that thou art always there,
I thank thee for thy great loving,
And Lord, for thy great caring.
All is well, everything is fine,
Do I stop to think of God divine?
No one sick, my life going well,
Surely gratitude to God we should tell.
Yet sometimes if the roads not rough,
Only pray when things get really tough,
Then I remembered in the days of old,
In good times they fell from the fold.
So let us both in good times and bad
Thank God for the happy and the sad,
So on the straight narrow path we stay
And not on the road of ingratitude stray.
