DEEP PEACE WITHIN
There is a sweet deep peace within my heart
When I strive each day to do my small part,
No turmoil however great destroys the peace
That comes knowing His love will never cease.

When torrents of darkness try to confound me,
His light and truth are there to set me free,
He lovingly guids me so gently by the hand
Over all the treacherous, cruel sinking sand

However strong the enemy, when mobs yell
When I have to pass near the jaws of hell,
His strength is my beacon His words my stay,
While He is beside me Satan always moves away.

His peace is with me amidst the clamouring din,
His peace assures me that my battles I can win,
For He is my captain, my Saviour and my friend,
I pray to be worthy to have Him until the end.

Peace amid the trails of life, when wars of hate rage,
His peace can be with us if we show true courage,
By standing up for Jesus, stand tall, strong and true
Then His peace will be with you all your life through.
