SEE THE GOOD
Some folks always look for bad hidden reasons,
If you do good there has to be ulterior motive,
Even if you keep it up through all the seasons,
They find fault and always a hard time to you give.

Just because they cannot see the good in what you do,
Please keep on doing all the good you can anyway,
Just be kind and not wanting any prize to come to you,
And you will find blessing on that final judgement day.

Always see the good in all man, for no one is all bad,
Every person young and old has that spark of divinity,
Some shine bright, some buried, didn’t know they had
Such a thing until you point out the good for them to see.

Be kind whatever happens, don’t want to just retaliate,
Be kind because you know that it is the better way,
Be kind so you strive to be like the Saviour, don’t wait
For someone to be kind first, or say, ‘I’ll be kind one day.’

Oh, how the Lord will smile, His continence full of love
On the day the trumpet sounds and that great day has come,
When He comes in all his glory, from His throne above,
Then He will turn and say to you so kindly, ‘well done.’
