A PSALM BEGGING FOR HELP.
Comfort me dear Lord, I need thine arms around me,
Let me feel thy care and let thy light so I may see.
Plant my feet on the paths of righteousness this day
And hold my hand as I tread along the darkened way.

Bless me oh Lord with thy everlasting and unfailing love,
Let thy blessings cover me that thou sendest from above,
Feed me at all times with thy spiritual strength so pure,
Fill me with the power to overcome evil and endure.

Help me Lord to seek thy guidance in all my ways,
Let thy light shine through these darkest of days.
Leave me not comfortless, nor let me stray from thee,
Let me feel thy strength, and thy love to set me free.

Oh Lord hear my prayer, and let my voice be heard,
Listen to my heartfelt prayer, hear my every word,
For thou art my God, thou art my fortress and guide.
Let me at this moment my face in thy bosom hide.

Bless me dear Lord with thy strength and thy power,
Come to me Lord, be with me in my darkest hour,
For I know thou lovest me and know my needs,
Though I travel dark paths, thou knowest the way,
My suffering is naught, not what thou had to pay.

So bless me Lord with thy strength, they power fill me,
That I may fight and win, and gain the gift of immortality.
I will do the work laid out for me, though hard it be,
For thou canst, if I will let thee, lead me through eternity.
