PREPARATION
Be Prepared, is by all the Boy Scouts known,
I wonder if they remember when they are grown?
For it is wise to be prepared every single day,
Ready for anything that may come your way.

Not only in worldly things prepared we should be,
But spiritually, mentally and if possible, physically,
Ready for life’s trials whenever they may come,
Ready with a will and the strength to get things done.

Prepare the mind by learning many wonderful things,
Learn self control and find the great power it brings,
So thus prepared whatever comes you will be ready,
With a clear mind and brain and a hand that’s steady.

Prepare the inner spirit with fasting and prayer,
As well as scripture study, fill your life with care,
Love others and know just when to give a smile,
Know when you need to stop and chat a little while.

If health and strength is yours, please use it well,
If not, make your spiritual strength just swell
Till it fills your whole being, so whatever may befall,
You are truly prepared, and so able to overcome all.
