HE’S THERE FOR US

The faith of a young child is so simple and sweet,
Nothing seems to bother them, every problem they meet
With the knowledge that God is just a prayer away.
Why don’t adults follow their example and think that way?

Driving through a winter storm, they say a direct simple prayer,
‘Keep dad driving good and please bring us safely there,
Help us get through all this snow and ice in one piece I pray,
Hope there’ll still be some apple pie at the end of the day.’

In a child’s heart God is always close by, just for us,
Whatever catastrophe happens they seem to make no fuss,
But turn to the Lord in prayer in their own special way,
Showing their parents there is always a time to pray.

‘He’s there for us mommy’ a child says when sorrow falls,
‘He’s there for us mommy, He’s just waiting for our call,’
He’s there giving us safety, guidance, comfort and love,
Have the faith of a child as you aim for heaven above
