PSALM BEGGING FORGIVENESS
Lord, replace my stubborn and proud heart
With true humility and a contrite soul,
Fill me with a desire to serve and do thy will,
Remove my will and put into me thy thoughts.
Freshen my mind with the dews of understanding,
Fill my empty heart with the knowledge of thy love,
Teach me to follow thee every step of the way,
Guide my wandering feet in paths of righteousness.
Take from me the way of all worldly things
And plant in its stead thy haven of peace.
Gather me in thy powerful, everlasting arms,
And protect me from the perils of each night.
Lord, forgive me of my many transgressions
And lift me from the bonds of sins heavy chain.
Comfort my aching heart with thy healing balm
And let me feel thy great love all around me.
I will praise thee as I raise to start each day,
I will shout thy praises with joy all my life,
May my weakness turn into my strengths,
As with thy power I can turn Satan away.
