A SCRIPTURE A DAY

A scripture a day keeps Satan at bay,
Were wise words my Granny used to say,
The day goes better when the advice I take,
I’m in the right frame of mind, so I make
Decisions that will not lead me astray,
If I read the scriptures at the start of the day.
A chapter or verse and a thoughtful prayer
Will send you on your way without a care,
Placing the Lord first everyday of your life
Will free your heart from worldly strife.
No matter way happens through each day
It will be brighter and better in some way,
You will still have troubles and trails galore,
But the Lord will help you through for sure.
So sometime through your very busy day
Find somewhere quiet and read and pray,
Then the clouds will not bother you at all
And you will cope better what’re befall.
When the day is over say a thankful prayer
And remember that God is always there.
