CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
Glistening in the gently falling snow
The Christmas lights brightly glow,
Giving hope with their warm ray
To those who wander far this day.
Just glancing through the window
You see such a pretty warming show,
It helps remind us why they shine bright
For into the world came the true light.
We hustle and bustle around each store
Looking for just one present more,
But the gift that is free to all men on earth
Is that of our Saviours precious birth.
The snow falls faster, the lights still shine,
The night sky is hidden, but thats fine
For we need no stars or moon above,
For there are Lights shining with love.
Yet does love shine in the hearts of man
Or is it greed and getting what you can?
Let the Christmas lights shine bright tonight,
Help guide folk home with all their might.
For now snow falls faster, still the lights shine,
Help love dwell in your heart and in mine,
Let the lights show you the way back home,
To those who wait while others roam.
