A PROFOUND WISH

If I could make just one single wish
That would set the world aright,
I would have to think really hard
That the wish chosen would be right

If I wished that all would be wealthy,
That would not be fair at all, you see
Before a short week was out
The cunning or wise would richer be.

If I wished for everyone to be happy
Everyday all their lives through,
This would not work either, you see
For without sorrow we could not grow.

So after thinking and praying real hard
The one thing that I’d really wish for,
Is that every living soul on this earth
Would have a loving heart that’s pure.
