SNOW CLOUDS

Crowded like solders on the front line
The snow clouds guarded the lake,
Ominous they stood shoulder to shoulder,
No one could that strong barrier break.

Even strong winds couldn’t make them move fast,
Building stronger and strong as the sun rose,
In their own good time would their contents unload
On the unwilling people, but that’s how life goes.

The wonder of nature with rows of soldier clouds
Warning us of a snow storm, to add more beauty
For us to behold, buried in some one more time,
We mortals can’t beat the soldier clouds you see.

So just wrap up warm and dig out again and again,
The look at the snowflakes shape and design,
Marvel at nature as you plow and you dig,
And to a real Canadian winter yourself resign.
