EXCITING
There is something exciting about geese in the sky,
In perfect formation, hear them call as they fly,
Poetry in motion as their large wings keep time,
Seeking adventure, onto a much warmer clime.

What are they seeking? Where do they all go?
Maybe the lead goose is the only one to know,
A whisper on the down wing beat as another leads,
I wonder do they just keep flying or stop to feed?

There is something exciting about the first fall of snow,
Especially if the cold wind hard and fierce does blow,
A new world is shaped, things take on a different form,
Everywhere so quiet when done as all hide to keep warm.

Sparkling white beauty instead of the brown dead grass,
Small lakes and rivers looking like a pure shining glass,
A halo of crystal is seen around the morning’s cold sun,
Beauty beyond measure as a brand new day is begun.

There is something exciting when the first robin sings,
And the messages of hope and joy his voice brings,
He says, in each dulcet tone, that spring is on her way,
With warmer winds and pretty flowers bright and gay.

Every moment excitement can be found in simple things,
A tiny snow flake, bird song, and the sound of mighty wings,
Look around to see what dear nature give us all for free,
Then when you find it praise God on grateful bended knee.
