PUT STUFF SAFELY AWAY
There’s some things you don’t need right now,
So you put them away all safe and sound,
A little while later one of them you want,
You seek and search, it’s not to be found.

You stop and you think, ponder quite hard,
But that hiding place will not come to mind,
So you get a new one or borrow from a friend,
As you are through, guess what you go and find?

So I thought out a plan that would always help,
A notebook telling me where I did put the lot,
I felt quite pleased with my clever little plan,
So I put that away quite safe, believe it or not.

Now where did I put that notebook of mine?
Not on the file cabinet, oh, no, it fell behind,
At least now I can check what has gone missing,
Oh dear, what I needed has quite left my mind.

I wonder how many others loose things like me?
When putting safe means being quite hidden,
You cannot have everything just lying around,
I need a whistle so stuff’ll come when bidden.
