HAPPY BIRTHDAY
For Agnes from Kathy
It seems only like yesterday that George and Al first met,
From that very moment a lasting friendship was set.
Then Al found this lovely girl, her name was Agnes,
Everyone who met her, of her charm and beauty did confess.
Al and Agnes were married, Georges one friend became two,
He often used to visit them as older they all grew,
George used to tell Kathy about his friends so dear,
After his visit to his friend, Kathy more would to like hear.
Then their daughter Hilary was to be married, what bliss,
Come to the wedding Kathy you really dont want to miss this,
So off Kathy to the wedding went, such beauty did she see
As the wedding took place beneath many a shimmering birch tree.
A friendship was melded, Agnes and Kathy friendship formed.
Both loved archival things so the friendship grew and warmed,
There was so much work to be done within those archive walls,
Agnes all her dear old Red Hat friends quickly calls
And so with sleeves rolled up off to work they went
Sorting out the great big mess they were truly bent.
Now Agnes its your birthday and I just want to say
Im glad I went to the wedding of that wonderful day.
