REHEARSALS
Everything seems chaotic and very messy,
But it will all work out, just wait and see,
Props stuck in a corner or dropped back stage
Lines sometimes forgotten, lost our page.

Don’t touch the big back drop, it is still wet.
Those high notes the tenors and soprano’s must get.
Cue’s still being missed causing things to go wrong.
Then there are times we sing the incorrect song.

Clothes hanging up in the wings getting in the way.
Going over the same lines it seems twenty times a day.
Don’t put your foot in the paint pot, oh, what a mess!
Less than two weeks left, I’m worried I must confess.

Each show always seems to be like this,
Yet it is the fun part you don’t want to miss.
Then just in time the show falls into place
And we all perform, a smile on each face.

Then comes the final curtain, audience standing,
Cheering, calling for more, still wildly clapping.
It was worth all that chaos and all the pain,
In fact, we all just want to do it over again.
