HEALTHY ENOUGH

It is good to be healthy, feel good and strong,
Healthy enough to work all day and still sing a song,
Healthy enough to play when your work is done,
Healthy enough to look forward to a new day begun.

Yet not too healthy so there is no compassion and caring,
Never ill or even under the weather, and always boasting
That if you take care you will always be healthy and strong,
So just enough of little things, nothing big to go wrong.

Health enough to aid a friend who may need a helping hand,
Health enough to share the load that in life is often found,
Health enough to carry a child who may have lost their way,
Be wise enough to give thanks for health at the close of the day.

Most folks want to be healthy, but life does not work that way,
Yet if we make the most of what we have, it will be a bright day,
It will not matter if the sun won’t shine and clouds gather around,
Make the most of what health you have and joy will be found.
