Please light this candle sweet
To let the memories flow.
Memories of happy days
That helps your love still grow.
Light it when you’re feeling blue,
Think back to busy happy days,
Times with loved one all around,
Remember special times together,
A happy, joyful, loving sound.
See in the flame smiling eyes,
Shining with a kindly light
That always made your heart
Jump for joy, life full of delight.
For the love you will remember,
The caring you will still feel
As the candle burns like amber.
Somewhere hearts are beating,
Somewhere that love is strong,
See it in the candle flickering,
And know love will last long
After the flame has faded,
After the light is paled
For a parents love is eternal
And will live beyond the grave.
