WHERE IS HOME?

Home is a funny little word
That stirs the heart of every one.
Thoughts flash back to childhood days,
To the end of a day, when work was done.

The things you did may all be different,
But each memory will flood back strong
My memories are of warm cozy fires,
Holding hands, singing troops safely home.

Then the sweet home scene changes
With your own family gathered there,
You are the parents guiding children,
So their family home they can prepare.

So where is home in this loving world?
Each one is good, each one is home.
The love link grows ever stronger
Even if far and wide we have to roam.

So Heavenly Father had a plan so dear.
Home is all those places don’t you see.
For when we reach Him in heaven
One happy eternal family we will be.

So home is not of brick, wood or stone,
But home is in the heart and soul of us all,
The love that binds husband and wife,
The love that guides so we will not fall.

Home is a caring heart whether rich or poor,
Home is security, of love ever flowing pure,
Home is the eternal chain forged with love,
So we may be worthy of a celestial home above.
