ALL TOGETHER
The family is all together gathered in one place,
I can imagine the love and joy on each face,
Grandchildren playing all together having fun,
The children chatting until a new day has begun.
Just the two of us missing, we are miles away,
Still, we will be with them, come another day,
Maybe for Hallowe’en and Christmas as well,
I’d love to be there and hear what tales they tell.
But we are serving a mission, doing our best,
To do the will of the Master, fulfill our quest,
But there is still an empty feeling in each heart,
As we speak on the phone and being so far apart.
Have fun family, do many fun things together,
Even if it’s boiling hot or cool wet weather,
Remember mom and dad as we are far away,
Think we are only a prayer away twice every day.
