A FATHER’S BLESSING

I am so glad that I have a father
who may lay his hands upon my head,
Speak words of comfort when I’m low,
give me the strength to forge ahead.
Give me a blessing when I am in pain,
fill me with comfort and love,
An earthly father using the priesthood,
knowing he is acting for Father up above.
A blessing by my father acting well,
doing the right thing, him being there,
A blessing what will help me cope,
making a bond between us beyond compare.
A blessing of comfort, a blessing for strength,
a blessing for energy to see me through,
A blessing to do well at school and work,
going away for whatever I may have to do,
If I ask, I know a fathers blessing is there,
just for me.
