TREASURE PEACE
In memory of those who died September 11
Treasure the peace that you feel at this moment,
Treasure the peace that we have this good day,
Treasure the loved ones you have close at hand,
Treasure the peace we have in Canadas land.
For soon there may be cruel, heartless war raging,
That treasured peace and tranquility from us taking,
Children and husbands could be sent far away to fight,
To battle for our freedom and peace, every ones right.
Treasure the moments when the family is safely together,
Live and love life to the full, love them while they are there,
For without warning evil may strike, those loved ones gone,
Taken by terrorists who dont own up to what theyve done.
Thousands of innocent lives swept away in time of peace,
Will all the anger, hurt and pain ever be able to cease
Until those who committed these acts are caught?
And so true justice down on their heads can be brought.
But what if they skulk and hide like the cowards they are?
Will this mean, once again, the horror of war both near and far?
Terrorists show your faces, own up, so that peace may reign,
And by so doing free the world from wars great pain.
