A STRANGE SIGHT TO SEE
Driving along highway eleven a strange sight youll see,
Just straight past The Cow there dangling quite clearly
You see a pair of running shoes over a high hydro line,
They seem to dance with joy and always look quite fine.
Now across a busy highway, how did they get up there?
Every time we pass there we always wonder as we stare ,
Did they get a life of there own and start to wire walk?
Maybe lost their concentration as they did chatter and talk.
Did a big truck stop the driver having really sore feet
Fed up with his shoes, arose from the drivers seat
And threw them out! But a Samson he must really be
To throw them to tangle on that wire, Oh, what energy.
Just to stand in the busy highway and toss them is the air
Would give every loving, caring parent quite a bad scare,
Where are your shoes Johnny someone to him may say
And without lying he would say that he threw them away.
Go on highway eleven, drive on just the big cute cow
Glance up and see the runners hanging there right now,
For weeks they have happily hung, swaying in the breeze,
It is quite a different scene from all the forests of trees.
