CHANGING SEASONS
SONNET NO 103
Seasons changing with sweet refreshing rain,
Earth is waking, no longer wants to rest
Through winter, once again has passed the test,
Sweet life returning to earth once again.
Gone is all suffering, heartache and pain,
Now earth awaits for spring to be her guest,
Full of warmth and healing, part of her quest.
New beauty comes in cities, towns and lanes.
How welcome the sun and all that we gain
As in all her glory earth is now dressed,
Adorned at last in radiance at its best
No longer covered in winter white so plain.
Let us gaze at all the glories of spring
Then deem it a wonderful blessed thing.
