More poems about Spring.

WANDER LUST
I really do need to tidy up but spring is in the air
And the snow is going away fast, and in the air
Is a feeling of expectancy as the birds now return,
And to wander in the warmer weather I do yearn.

I’ll dust and vacuum and mop the kitchen floor,
I’ll clean some of the windows, rather a nice chore,
The sides will be wiped down and stuff hidden away,
Then we can go our for the rest of the bright day,

The bathroom isn’t too bad and bedrooms will do,
The least work the better you agree with me don’t you?
At least the beds are made but the closets are a mess
But on days like these I don’t really care I must confess.

We’ll drive awhile and look at the entrance of sweet spring,
It renews our energy and it makes me want to start to sing,
Songs of rejoicing and of gratitude and deep lasting love
For the season of spring that is sent from heaven above.
