WHAT WILL IT TAKE
What will it take to be worthy of a heavenly throne,
I know I cannot make it there by myself, alone,
What depth of goodness, what amount of pure charity
Would it take, how pure would my thoughts have to be?
How willingly must I ever serve all of my fellow men,
How much in control of fear, to enter into the lions den?
I will need enough faith to move a mountain, always say
“Get thee behind me Satan” so many times each day.
The Master told us to be perfect like our Father above,
And so then be worthy as we are consumed with His love.
The goal is high and very hard for us all to try to obtain
But if we give up, never try t hat goal we can never gain,
So whatever happens let us aim higher than we alone can
And with lots of help be that part of our Father’s great plan.
