A STATUE OF THE MASTER
A stone statue of the Master is cold, marble,
just a little warm,
Not like the closeness I feel that guards me
from sin’s harm,
A picture on the wall that looks kindly down
and smiles at me
Is almost the same as having Him there in
full sweet felicity.
I can feel His spirit envelope me with the mantle
of eternal love,
Know of His guiding light like He sends from dear
heaven above,
Feel that warm, radiant glow as I strive to do what
is true and right,
I pray that in one way, to be like Him, and be a
guiding bright light.
