THE WISE MEN
The wise men came from lands afar
We all know they were led by a star,
Mighty men, yet each seeking light,
Came to the manger one fair night.
GOLD
One brought gold for a kingly crown,
Placed at Jesus feet, kneeling down,
Knowing this King would forever reign,
Ease the world from all grief and pain.
FRANKINCENSE
This incense speaks of true, eternal divinity,
An expensive gift given in humble sincerity,
Wise enough to see in a poor baby so small
The great redeemer and the Saviour of us all.
MYRRH
A gift almost priceless, treasure beyond compare,
The third wise man laid it down reverently there,
A sign of much suffering and death in great pain,
Knowing of the sacrifice, our freedom to gain.
