A DREARY DAY
When the day is all drab and dreary,
And the weather makes you feel weary,
There are things that will ease the pain,
Why not wrap warm and walk in the rain,
Splash in puddles and have childish fun,
Ask a neighbour to take his dog for a run.
When you feel weary go and soak in the tub
And with a large towel give yourself a good rub.
Feed the birds then watch them peck and swoop,
Then go and make a pot of good homemade soup.
Then sit all snugly warm and read an exciting book,
The weather will not matter as at the rain you look.
Make the most of each day and life will be bright,
So live life to the full making everything seem right.
