REVERENCE AND MODESTY
We know that reverence is being quiet when
a prayer is said,
And that during sacrament we close our eyes
and bow our head,
It is also listening to the words being spoken, feeling
the spirit there,
Letting that special spirit help us grow, love
Him with care.
But reverence goes deeper, it is the way we
speak and dress,
The way we cover our bodies to show
sweet modestness,
To partake of the sacrament Jesus
right by your side,
You want to be the best you can without
showing pride.
For without thinking we can draw
others far away
From thinking of the dear Master or
wanting to pray,
Look in the mirror and say, yes, I can
meet Him this way,
Or would I distract a friend and on the
wrong path stray.
The Lord will love us whatever we
decide to wear,
But He will rejoice if we clothe ourselves
with some care,
Showing reverence and thoughtfulness
every day,
Will show Him how much we love Him in
a special way.
