PSALM - LIGHT TO SHINE
Lord, am I clothed in the robes of righteousness
Am I girt about with true honesty?
Do my thoughts stay in tune to Thy will
Is my mind stayed on the good things of life?
Everyday I strive hard Thy will to perform,
and in my waking hours want to serve Thee.
Are my feet shod with the sandals of truth,
And the path I tread is it along the right Way?
Do my eyes seek for true understanding,
Will my vision lead my to Thy eternal light?
Do I have the strength to overcome all evil?
Are my shoulders strong enough to carry the load?
Give me the wisdom to choose aright each day,
And the courage to take the righteous harder way.
May Thy protecting arms encompass me with Thy love,
And Thy hand bear me up when I stumble and fall.
Help my light to shine in the darkness
and my example lead others the right way.
