MISSING THE TEMPLE
We miss the shining temple, seeing it as we came
To serve, along the highway standing to acclaim
The truth restored in these the last of latter days,
And the important of Gods great plan it portrays,
We miss the serenity found there quietly within,
A place of refuge from this world of noise and din,
Miss the knowledge that is bestowed to the open mind,
Nowhere in this world a safer place anyone could find,
We miss our friends who serve with eyes full of love,
Yet we know that we will be true friends up above ,
Miss the companionship and the sweet caring ways,
And the peaceful feeling that in the heart long stays.
We miss everything about the temple, we will still come
Knowing that there is lots of work to be always done,
Yet as we serve others more blessings come our way
And that is the great joy of the temple every single day.
