More poems about Birthdays.

71 TOMORROW I am 71 tomorrow so am living now on borrowed time,
But I hope there are more years even if not in my prime,
But still be useful with a willing pair of older hands,
Still longing for things and making exciting little plans.

71 tomorrow we may go out for a special evening meal,
It really does depend how well we both will then feel,
We will have to go searching for a place we will like,
I don’t think it will be Mc Donald’s, it can take a hike.

We both like fresh pickerel done just about anyway at all,
We could phone around the town give each café a call,
To see if they have this dish on their menu for us to eat,
I really at the moment don’t feel like chewing on nice meat.

Yes. I am 71 tomorrow and look forward to the special day,
But whatever we do I know sweet love will come my way,
We’ve both been sick, thought this day we would not see,
But the Lord has blessed us, so we will celebrate joyfully.
