COOL AUGUST
There seems to be a change in the
weather, you see
The hot days have grown cool,
cool as can be
The need of a sweater in August
seems all wrong,
Some of the birds have ceased to
sing their song.
Even here up north this weather is
not the norm,
It usually stays hot, if not stays
nice and warm,
The rain clouds sullenly, very slowly
cross the sky,
I hope this unusual weather will soon
pass us by.
