        WEARING SANDLES
It is good to wear sandles, toes feeling free,
Even wearing hose the toes are at liberty,
Better weather’s here and sandles are in style,
It toes had faces I’m sure they would smile.

It is does not batter what colour you wear,
Ten little toes are at last exposed to the air,
Men and women alike enjoy the sandle fun,
Wear them as soon as fair weather has begun.

Even if it rains no real problems come our way,
For the water goes in one end and does not stay,
But flows through, it’s much better than a closed shoe,
For in them the foot stays soggy all the way through.

The only problem is walking on a soft sandy beach
There is little support for ankles as you try and reach
Your destination, but when you arrive safely there
Just bang your heels and the sand comes out with a flair.

Sandle season is not long enough, if fashion dictates
They say they can only be worn between certain dates,
Labour day is the very last time sandles should be seen,
October can be lovely so on my feet then sandles have been.

I don’t care for fashion that restricts my toes on a nice day,
Let them enjoy themselves often come out and play,
Winter boots to keep them warm are not much fun
They much prefer to be free and smile up at the sun.
