LIVING UP NORTH
Forests are more abundant and the cars are thinning out,
We are north of cottage country now without a doubt,
Although spring is later here in coming she is on her way,
Green grass is showing and the buds of darling May
Are all around us and just a little warmer the pleasant sun,
Yes although spring is late she has at last started to come.
The trucks still battle onward some bringing the north supplies,
Others keep on going taking the long north route to my surprise
To travel east or west through the forests thick and deep,
I just wonder to myself how often they stop for a sleep,
Then its time to turn on a side road to a place quite small,
Driving along these roads there is very little traffic at all.
A cosy home may await you in reality or in a pleasant dream,
With picturesque windows and a fence painted rich cream,
Maybe its upon a hillside or in a safe protected sweet dell,
It does not really matter where in the north you may dwell,
For there grows a bond somehow between nature and man,
Then feeling the closeness of nature we understand Gods plan.
