More poems about Abiding Love

STOLE MY HEART AWAY
He was ten when he stole my heart away,
With his hazel eyes dancing very bright,
With his dark brown hair just catching the light.
Me, a year older, that night I did pray
To be guided now along the right way.
His manners were perfect, very polite,
One at a time the gang he would fight,
Onto our garden for refuge did stray.
One at a time fight him! Do not delay,
Are you too cowardly to use your might
If not all together? such a weak sight.
That was my grandma who saved him for me.
We married for now and eternity.
