BE NOT ASHAMED
Romans 1:16
We should not be ashamed of the gospel of our Lord,
Never fear or tremble to spread His mighty word,
Sound the trump, proclaim the message far and wide,
Never under a bushel the light of the gospel ever hide.
Go forth in the strength of truth for He is on your side,
Do not be ashamed, put away the great sin of pride,
Be thou truly humble then all fear will flee far away,
For it is pride that stops us from telling of His way.
We may be mocked or laughed at, someone make fun,
I’d want to crawl under a rock before the work was done.
Do not fear, trust in the Lord with all your might and mind
Press ever onward, not ashamed and sweet contentment find.
