FOUR SEASONS IN ONE WEEK
On Sunday and Monday true spring weather was in the air,
A gentle breeze blew warm, flowers being bedded everywhere,
You could see the birds with twigs and fluff doing nest mending,
In fact the thought came that sweet spring was never ending.
Then along came Tuesday with a big surprise of 28 degrees,
A little humidity darling summer has come early if you please,
Tank tops and white legs appear just about everywhere you go,
That’s a real sign of the start of a hot summer, I’m sure you know.
Now you won’t believe it but Wednesday brought us fall rain,
Cool and blustery not too pleasant, in fact it was quite a pain,
Why on earth should we have fall after one short summer day,
We all wished that this weather would soon go far away.
Then the crazy old weather men both on the TV and radio,
Said that over night the temperature would go below zero!
Winter is back there will be frost on all the things around,
Four seasons in just a few days should never ever be found.
What will the rest of this crazy week bring, what do I wear!
Do I bring out a summer dress or put on my long underwear!
There is a watery sun above but no clouds in the bright blue sky,
It makes you all mixed up and to more stable places want to fly.
