A FRAGRANT BUNCH OF FLOWERS
It is surprising what a bunch of flowers can do,
Store bought or just picked fresh, covered with dew,
Their fragrancy and colours can brighten up a dull day,
And just looking at them can send the blues away.
I dont mind what flowers are there, they are company,
Like some welcome guest that loves you so silently,
Placed on the dining room table, or on the windowsill,
Their sweet grace and beauty will you with wonder fill.
Sometimes its worth doing without something you need
Your desire for a pretty bunch of bright flowers to feed,
I can do without the cookies and place on the table instead
A lovely bunch of flowers with many a colourful head.
Next week I will forgo some treat so flowers I can buy,
Place them on the table and gaze at them as I go by,
A gift from nature to help heal a hurting or sad heart,
I wonder if they realize how well they do their part?
