I BELIEVE
I believe in kindness and the good it can bring our way,
How much better you feel as you struggle through a day
And someone has been kind, said a kind word and a smile,
It surely helps you if you have to go that extra long smile.

I believe in thoughtfulness like putting others always first,
When the right words are said or some lonely one nursed
Back to health or activity, the message of sharing given,
Showing that people care, help someone to believe in heaven.

I believe in truth and light and letting it glow in the dark,
Being a beacon, a lighthouse, for some stranded, lost barque,
Help the vessel that drifts in the blackness of misery and sin
We should shed truth and light so the shore that boat will win.

I believe in love that comes from our God in heaven above,
The kind that never tires and strengthens others as we love.
The type of love that will send all evil and sin so far away,
That heaven’s grace will guide us and show us the right way.

I believe in goodness, in the Master who’s righteousness divine
Is the way to tread, so be kind and good and let your light shine,
Show unfailing love and thoughtfulness every day that we live,
And then one day we may be worthy our hand in His to give.
