More poems about Spring.

        THE OPEN PATIO DOOR
It is such a good feeling to open the patio door,
To feel the gentle zephyr and let warm air pour
In, refresh us well, that’s what happened today,
Now everyone know that spring is on her way.

It was warm enough to rake, without a sweater,
Feel the warm sun on my back and even better,
The smell of the earth awakening from her sleep,
Not only bulbs but other plants starting to peep.

I hopefully looked for the rhubarb and it was there,
A little cluster of red and green a sight truly fair,
The chives and the basil and the rosemary too
But the parsley and mint are still not yet through.

But the garden is quite alive you can feel it in the air,
And for about an hour we worked quietly out there,
Enjoying the warm weather and the sights all around,
There is no place like a garden when spring is first found.
