STAKE CONFERENCE
Normally it’s quite noisy as we meet friends
we do not often see,
Shaking hands, giving hugs and chatting
quite merrily.
But this time we were blest with reverence
so sweet,
For in the chapel that morning a humble quietness
we did meet.
The halls were not even noisy, spirituality seemed
to be everywhere,
As if many departed friends could be felt in
the Sabbath air.
Saturday night’s conference the spirit was
so very strong,
It must have flowed over to this much
larger happy throng.
Teachers and Deacons stood each holding
a REVERENCE card,
To think not obey their priesthood would
be very hard.
Love flowed like a river as we all sat
so quietly
Waiting to be spiritually fed and of all
earthly things be free.
