TIPTOE
To tiptoe through the tulips with a light
fantastic tread,
Would be a delight to me instead of
feeling half dead,
To dance around whilst cleaning house like
I used to do
Would cheer me, if awaiting death didn’t
come into view.
Clean the windows all over, wash floors on
hands and knees,
Change sheets and make the bed well without
a single wheeze,
To run across the road not have to make all
the traffic to wait,
Whizz around the stores shopping fast without
a terrible fate.
To be back to normal once more be as busy
as I could be
Would be one of the greatest gift that
could be given me.
