SOMEONE TO TALK TO
If you need someone to talk to, just say a prayer,
Not just glib words repeated, but from where
Your heart aches with pain, say how you feel
Then there will be a quiet answer, for you will heal.
If you need someone to talk to He is right there
Waiting for the moment you speak a humble prayer,
You will feel Him as your thoughts ascend above
And feel the great power of His sweet eternal love.
If a friend can understand your need she’ll be there,
Another way the dear Lord may answer that prayer,
Stretch out in hope and one day the healing will come,
But until that moment quietly say ‘Thy will be done.’
But uplifting arms are there to give you strength and stay,
A loving Father will never leave you alone far to stray,
A silent prayer whispered in the deep and darkest night
Will bring into the gloom and darkness His everlasting light.
