More poems about Gratitude
THANK YOU FOR
THE ROSES.
Thank you for the roses their colour and
flagrance to sweet,
They were a joy and pleasure to all who
they did meet.
The smiles that shone on faces as they glanced
their way
Really made me feel better as in hospital
I sick did lay.
There right by my side they glowed with a
radiance quite fair
And with a sweet refreshing smell filled
the sterile air.
All week they brought blessings to that
hospital ward
And many comments were passed, many a
kindly word,
Even being wheeled out when returning home
people stopped to say
Look at those wonderful roses such a pretty
colour are they!
At home they lasted until this morning but
fragrance lingers on,
Now petals in a wooden bowl a pot- pourri
still bringing love
Thank you for the roses that brought a gift from
heaven above.
