More poems about Fathers

        IN DADDY’S ARMS
Seeing a new baby held safe in daddy’s arms,
One hand gently holding the other one so small,
Just left another loving Father in heaven above,
“Take care of my child,” you may hear a quiet call.

Arms and hands that can have strength to fell a tree,
Build a house, fix a car, drive a truck, but still know
Of the gentleness needed to hold a baby new born,
In daddy’s arms is safety as through life they go.

A daddy’s hand so large, full of caring and great love,
Seems to be a natural gift given to all who truly care,
A daddy’s hand however scared or work-worn they be
Will in righteousness guide a child through eternity.
