More poems about the Temple

THE GIFT OF THE TEMPLE
We have the gift of the temple very
close at hand,
Standing in white beauty in this our
lovely land,
Where God’s chosen are invited so His
glory to gain,
Come, those who can and relieve those
hurt and in pain.
If we have been proved worthy the temple
door to enter in,
Frequently to stay away I feel God would
think a sin.
An open invitation to God’s house there
awhile to stay,
So enter and serve others then in sweet
joy wend your way.
Come, those who are able, come join
this happy throng,
Fill the temple to overflowing your heart
ever sing a song
Of rejoicing as you serve others, learn
and wiser grow,
So the blessings of the temple be with you
wherever you go.
Feel God’s power, wisdom and grace bless
you day by day,
As you spend some time in the temple and
His will obey.
