THE EXHIBITION
Its almost time for the Exhibition so summer is almost done,
Almost three weeks of new things to see, having lots of fun,
Usually the weather is kind, but sometimes a little too hot,
But most Torontonians dont mind that at all, not one jot.
You dont have to go to the midway on many a fast ride,
You can go into many a building and for many hours hide,
See things from far away places, the cute cat and dog shows,
Watch the horse competitions, who wins ribbons and bows?
If you need something new, this is the best time to buy,
Appliances great and small so very cheap you ask, why?
Its Exhibition prices, they smile and say, dont let it pass,
We are usually broke at that time, oh dear, alack, alas.
You need not spend much money just go and gaze around,
Much fun and enjoyment this way can be easily found,
But it is a place for the young at heart, living life to the full,
For a day at the exhibition is anything at all except dull.
Take your time and wander just anywhere at your will,
Of people having lots of fun come and take your fill,
No one should be too busy to spend a few happy hours
At the Exhibition, even if you just come to smell the flowers.
